ZEITGEIST (SPIRIT OF THE AGE) / POSTER DESIGN
CONCEPT
Zeitgeist is a concept from eighteenth-to nineteenth-century German philosophy, meaning “spirit of the age”. It refers to an invisible agent or force dominating the characteristics of a given epoch in world history.
I think of zeitgeist as a giant wave or current, directing the thoughts and feelings of the people caught up in it. Great artists watch these waves of drama unfolding across time and tell us about it through their works.
This fictional brand I’ve created encourages the artists and open minded thinkers of our age to pay attention. Pay attention. Pay attention to the things that wound or stab us, these things that shine forth are like an axe for the frozen sea within us.
